Welcome to Open House Sheffield and to our website.
Open House Sheffield is based in Parson Cross in the north of the city. It is a place of hospitality, offering space to be with others as we each continue on our spiritual journey. We enjoy wide-ranging conversation, reflection, and food together. We seek to be an inclusive community of people, truly welcoming a rich diversity of identity and experience.
Open House Sheffield has been created by Judith Jessop. She is a resident of Parson Cross, having lived around Sheffield for 30 years. Judith is a Methodist Pioneer Minister and longs to encourage people to ask questions of their faith, experience spirituality in new ways, come to a deeper understanding of God, and seek to live a Jesus focused life. For Judith prayer and spirituality plus engagement in social justice are key.
Each month we share in simple gatherings, designed to be open and accessible to all. On 2 occasions we meet round the table and share food and conversation. Other times we meet specifically to explore life and faith through discussion or to reflect and pray together. Why not take a look in our diary to find out more, or join in the thought on the blog.
We are friends and supporters of Open Sheffield, Whirlow Spirituality Centre, Progressive Christianity Network, and Centre for Radical Christianity.
